Physician Engagement

Successful healthcare organizations understand the importance of maintaining strong, positive relationships with skilled physicians. Patient satisfaction and  employee and physician engagement – as well as the quality of patient care – are all significantly impacted when physicians leave, are not aligned with the organization’s mission, vision, and values, or when referring physicians disengage with a hospital.

To help organizations improve hospital-physician relationships, Morehead conducted research with a broad sample of physicians across the United States and developed empirical models for understanding the experiences that impact physician engagement for different physician groups. We offer a suite of physician surveys for staff and employed, referring, faculty, and clinic-based physicians. The practical application of this research provides organizations with an understanding of where physician relationships can be improved and best practices for doing so.
