Workforce Commitment Survey

Transforming Employee Opinion Data into Knowledge and Action

Morehead’s Workforce Commitment Survey provides your organization with the information you need to transform employee opinions into targeted actions. It enables leaders to focus human capital initiatives, prioritize systemic change, inform work unit interventions, and align employees with business strategies.

Commitment, which is often used synonymously with engagement, is demonstrated by these and other employee behaviors —

  • willingness to go "above and beyond"
  • energy and enthusiasm for their work
  • loyalty to the organization - a greater likelihood to stay employed
  • pride in the organization and a willingness to recommend the organization as a place to work and receive care
  • greater overall satisfaction

Having a committed workforce positively impacts a wide range of business outcomes like patient satisfaction, quality of care, employee retention, and financial performance. When employees develop a strong sense of commitment to the organization, they will engage in behaviors beneficial to the organization’s performance.

Morehead’s survey instrument assesses commitment and engagement and its key drivers. Our Workforce Commitment Model gauges employee attitudes at three levels, or domains: organization, manager, and employee.

Because organizations have different needs, the survey is available in a full version and a streamlined version. Morehead’s Power Plus Survey, which contains 50 core items, fully assesses performance in the organization, manager, and employee domains. Additional survey items can be added to the Power Plus Survey to address specific organizational needs. Morehead’s Power Survey is a streamlined version consisting of  18 core items that are the most predictive of employee commitment. Our surveys use valid, reliable items linked to Morehead’s robust national employee healthcare norms and can be tailored to meet the unique needs of your organization.
